The Web Application Development Process
1. Requirements
Every new project idea begins with the customers project requirements where sometimes what is required is fully known otherwise it can be very vague. Either way at this early stage ideas are brainstormed, pictures are sketched and functionality is defined. The creative process is fun until a complete picture of all the project requirements are refined and agreed by both parties.
2. Specification and Quote
After there is clarity on the project requirements this is then turned into a formal specification which will include all the details agreed upon at the requirements stage. From the specification we are then able to determine a project timescale, hosting requirements and all costings presented in a formal quote.
3. Project Development
Upon our quote being accepted we will begin the the app development process. As each section of the app is built and tested it is not uncommon for customers to request new features that they had not previously thought of. We are usually happy to do this after assessing how it will impact other areas of the app and may incur additional charges.
4. Beta Testing
After the main project development phase has been completed a beta version of the app is then released to see how it performs in the real world. If any part of the app fails then any bugs are then fixed and that area of code retested. After being released again and no part of the app fails it is then ready to release properly.
5. Launch
